High Speed Chase Through Multiple Towns Ends In Crash

A high speed chase that ran through multiple towns on Saturday in the early morning hours took the combined efforts of Marlborough, Southborough, and Westborough Police Departments to help catch the criminal that lead them on a two hour chase. Around 2:40am on Saturday, 21 year old Rafael Aguila of Webster took his 2017 Toyota Corolla to the streets despite having a revoked license. When pulled over by an officer in Southborough, police say he fled the scene doing nearly 80 miles an hour as he tried to evade arrest. Assabet Valley Yard Sale Raises Money for Relay for Life

Assabet Valley Student Council organized a yard sale on the morning of Marlborough's Relay For Life event in order to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The yard sale raised over $500 and the members of the student council participated in the Relay For Life walk that same night with the money they raised.

Threats Made At Sudbury Middle School

Students at the Ephriam Curtis Middle School still attended class on Thursday morning with plainclothes detectives in the parking lot after a serious threat was made on Snapchat Wednesday evening. Police were able to identify the student responsible for making those threats, speaking with the student the night before. Superintendent Dr. Anne Wilson says it was a student who reported the threat to administrators, who then contacted local police. Authorities confirmed that the child did not have access to a gun, and an email was sent to parents warning them of the potential threat before it was deemed safe for the students to return to school on Thursday morning. Memorial Beach Trashed During Holiday Weekend

Trash overflowing from garbage cans, bottles and cans littering the sand and park benches covered in debris: this was the scene at Memorial Beach in Marlborough the morning after Memorial Day. Residents have been outraged after the destruction of a well loved beach that took DPW Park Employees 6 hours to clean. In a statement, a representative from the DPW said, “We would appreciate the public’s help in keeping the beach as well as all the city’s recreational facilities clean for the enjoyment of everybody.” While the beach is cleaned daily, a representative says they plan to add six new trash barrels and four ash barrels to the beach to help alleviate overflow in the barrels.
