Marlborough Man Facing 10 Charges After Leading Police On Chase

MARLBOROUGH-A Marlborough man is facing a total of 10 different charges this week after refusing to stop for police during a traffic stop on Monday afternoon. According to police, shortly after 2:30pm on Monday 22-year-old Santiago Rodriguez was found driving unregistered & uninsured behind the wheel of a black Honda Civic with plates registered to a red Subaru . Yet when police attempted to pull him over, Rodriguez lead them on a high-speed for nearly 10 minutes before he came to a stop at the Shell Gas Station on Lincoln Street. Marlborough Chamber of Commerce hosts Golf Classic

MARLBOROUGH- On Monday July 29th, The Marlborough Chamber of Commerce hosted its 45th annual golf classic tournament at Marlborough Country Club. The tournament not only served as a chance to raise funds for future events, but also as a networking opportunity within the Chamber. Chair of the board Mike Rodrigues descried it as a great way for both members and non-members to get together and have some fun. When golfers arrived they were able to start the day with stretching exercises lead by one of the Chamber's sponsors. After, golfers headed to the course to get the day rolling. Man Arrested On Multiple Warrants With Class A Substance

MARLBOROUGH- A Framingham man taken into custody this week by Marlborough police with multiple outstanding warrants is adding several charges to his arrest. Police received a tip that 31-year-old Antonio Brandao was seen driving near the area of The Point At Marlborough Apartments, who was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants. Police were able to catch up to the car and performed a routine traffic stop which lead to his arrest. As Brandao was in the backseat of the cruiser, the arresting officer noticed he seemed to be shifting around uncomfortably with a loose white powder coming from one of his pockets. Marlborough Woman Faces Attempted Kidnapping Charges

FRAMINGHAM-It all started over a stolen carton of cigarettes, and now a Marlborough woman is facing charges of attempted kidnapping. Police say 40 year old Samantha Salmons, Marlborough, kidnapped the 25 year old victim after she had spent the night in Salmons' SUV the night before. The victim had allegedly taken off with the vehicle to pick up a male friend, who left with the carton of cigarattes. When Salmons discovered the theft, she allegedly became irate and grabbed the victim by her throat forcing her back into the car to sell her X-Box in exchange for a new box of cigarettes. Car Crash on Boston Post Road

On July 24th, shorty before 2pm, a two car accident caused minor backups and delays at 771 Boston Post Road East. The collision involved two sedans. Both had to be towed away and were deemed undrivable. According to the Marlborough police, one of the cars was trying to pull out onto route 20 when it was sideswiped by another car traveling east. The car that was hit sustained major side damage while the other had the bumper falling off of the front. Only one airbag deployed in the incident. There were no major injuries but both victims were taken away by ambulance for further evaluation.

Marlborough Lays to Rest Local Veteran Alfred Sandini

MARLBOROUGH- 75 years after he was killed in action, Army Air Force Technical Sergeant, Alfred Sandini was laid to rest in Marlborough beside his family. Sandini died during World War II in French Indochina on February 15,1944. He was aboard a B-25C Mitchell bomber when enemy fire caused his plane to crash. His remains were found in 1947, but they were only recently identified. The city of Marlborough stepped up to the plate to welcome Sandini home. A funeral was held at Immaculate Conception Church followed by a burial with full military honors at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. To see more, watch the video below:

Lightning Strikes, Sparks Fire in Marlborough Home

MARLBOROUGH- A local family is returning back to their home this week to pick up the pieces after it was struck by lightning during Saturday's storms. Anthony Funches says his wife was in the kitchen when she felt the jolt that sparked a fire in the couples' Marlborough home. She quickly began to see smoke billowing out of their basement, and called out for her husband and 911. The fire department arrived on scene quickly and was able to contain the fire to the family's basement, rescuing their three dogs from the smoke and keeping damage confined to that space. Red Cross has been helping the family over the weekend with a place to stay, and all involved are grateful that no one was injured.

Marlborough Woman and Dog Recovering After Pitbull Attack

MARLBOROUGH- A local woman headed out for a walk with her German Shepard on early Saturday morning when the unexpected happened. The woman and her dog Keisha were walking down Berlin Road when three pitbulls broke through a window screen. Prior to this incident, the pitbulls have never attacked anyone. They are currently being quarantined and tested for rabies. Marlborough Police are still investigating what happened and why these dogs attacked.
