Final 75TH Anniversary Celebration

Donors and sponsors are a key part in keeping the Marlborough Boys and Girls Club up and running year round. On October 24th, the Boys and Girls Club of the MetroWest held their 14th Annual Bids for Kids Auction and Gala. Celebrating the staff, kids, donors and sponsors; this event was a large success. There were key speakers, a silent auction, awesome food, and even champagne to celebrate the night. The excitement could be felt in the air! The MetroWest Boys and Girls Club held many celebratory 75th events in 2019, but this event will close out the 75th anniversary celebrations for the year. Immaculate Conception School Celebrates their First Harvest Festival

Immaculate Conception School held their first annual Harvest Festival as a way to not only raise money for the school but to also bring together the community. The festival offered an array of entertainment including live music, corn hole, bouncy houses, mummy bowling, pumpkin painting and even a hayride. They had delicious foods that the community prepared, Brazilian, Hispanic and American food. They also offered drink options from beer and wine to soda and water. There was a variety of different vendors from the local area. Immaculate Conception School hopes to continue to bring enjoyment with this festival for the years to come.

The MEDC recently held its fall session job fair at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel in Marlboro. Mayor Arthur Vigeant was very excited to talk to WMCT regarding the importance of the job fair for the community, he also told us all about the new shuttle service that opened up. A ribbon cutting recently happened for A&A Metro, to offer something very incredible for local residents. The shuttle service provided by A&A Metro is a very special add on to residents in the local area. Not only will it get you to and from certain jobs, it can be used to go to the VA, and even take you on your shopping trips. They are hiring as well! 33 Mile Boroughs Loop trail finally opened to the public!

Looking for something active and outdoorsy this fall? Look no further. The long anticipated 33 mile Boroughs loop trail is finally opened! The anticipation of waiting for the Boroughs trails is finally over! the 33 mile trail linking neighboring towns is finally opened for the community to enjoy. 10 years in the making, this incredible outdoor loop trail was celebrated last week with a ribbon cutting, fall festivities, and opening remarks from Conservation Officer Priscilla Ryder. Local High School Students Work on Special Project for a Homeless Veteran

In May, Assabet Valley carpentry students and teachers started work on a special project. They began building a tiny home for a homeless veteran in Maine right in the carpentry room of Assabet Valley. The project is something that head carpentry teacher, Bill Italiano has wanted to do for years. He wanted them to start building these types of tiny homes for victims of Katrina but it wasn't a task that could easily be done. While Maine isn't as easy, it is much closer. The project was initially funded by the CF Adams Foundation but after work got out about this project, many others donated to make this happen. MONSTER TRUCK MAYHEM IN MARLBOROUGH

Ever wonder how a small town kid would get interested in racing Monster Trucks for a living? Well, recent Assabet Valley Graduate Joe Foley took his classroom skills to the racetrack! In a recent interview with WMCT-TV, Joe Foley expressed his high interest in racing, the automotive industry, and fast engines. Today, he dropped by his old high school with his Monster Truck, to excite the current students and the city of Marlborough. While attending the vocational school Joe focused a ton of his energy in shop, learning all things cars and fast engines. Today he uses those skills on the racetrack. 13TH ANNUAL 5K POLICE CHASE

Playing cornhole, eating icecream, raffle tickets, enjoying live music and raising money for a great cause! Sounds like an awesome Saturday afternoon in Marlborough with friends and family. The community came together for a great cause! Running a 5k and raising money for the 13th Annual 5k Police Chase event held last weekend. The yearly race is held in honor of different fallen members each year and proceeds go directly to specific causes.
