Community Connections - Jr. Celtics Academy

On this episode of Community Connections, host Matt Besachio sits down with Donny Guerinoni, Sr. Director & Head of Youth Development for the Boston Celtics, to talk Junior Celtics Academy, the co-ed basketball camp running this week and next at New England Innovation Academy in Marlborough. Donny shares his path from playing at Nevada to coaching at Stanford, Harvard, and beyond, and how a shift toward youth basketball led him to the Celtics organization. He and Matt dig into what makes the camp "Celtics", foundational skills training, mindfulness and nutrition education, a next-play mentality, surprise visits from Lucky the Leprechaun (and sometimes a player or Celtics legend), New Balance gear, and a coaching staff focused on effort over outcome.
