Bonjour! Welcome to the premiere episode of Between the Borough, a new series exploring Marlborough's most unique neighborhoods.

Host Jack Brzenk kicks things off in French Hill, a neighborhood shaped by generations of immigrants, from French Canadian shoe workers in the 1800s to the Latino and Brazilian communities that define it today.

Along the way, Jack walks the (debatable) boundaries of French Hill, digs into the neighborhood's shoe-industry roots and railroad history, and stops by some local favorites: a gas station with a cult following for its pizza and Brazilian pastels, a 120+ year old family pharmacy, the converted St. Mary's condos, a Brazilian steakhouse serving scratch-made churrasco, and French Hill's last standing dive bar. What makes French Hill so special? Watch to find out.
