Marlborough Man Attacks Neighbor With Hammer

A Marlborough man accused of attacking his neighbor with a hammer on Friday is facing assault & battery charges.

Police were called to Fairmount Street for a disturbance when Junior D Garcia-Lopez, 23, allegedly assaulted his neighbor. The unnamed victim, who had been having a party, began arguing with Garcia-Lopez over parking spots. Garcia-Lopez then went to the back of his truck and grabbed a hammer. The victim was able to strike his attacker in the face before being hit in the chest with the back of the hammer, sustaining minor injuries. While WMCT News has not been able to receive photos from the incident, Garcia-Lopez was placed under arrest.
