Failure to Yield Leads To Rollover Crash In Marlborough

MARLBOROUGH- A two car accident at the corner of Grainger and Bolton Streets in Marlborough shut down a portion of the intersection shortly before 4pm on Tuesday, leaving a truck turned on its side and a layer of glass scattered across the intersection.

Police say the female driver of a white Ford sedan was did not use caution when taking a left turn from Bolton onto Grainger Street, and was struck by a white Toyota pickup truck going through the intersection. The collision caused the truck to flip onto its side, striking a sign. A witness who saw the truck flip over says she called 911, waiting for help to arrive for the man who became trapped inside his truck. "The sign and everything just flipped," she says.

Fortunately, the individual was quickly freed by fire and rescue crews that arrived on scene almost immediately. The driver of the sedan was cited for failure to yield, and was taken to the hospital as a precaution to be treated for minor injuries.
