Marlborough Police Officer Rescues Hawk

On November 6, students from Whitcomb Middle School ran to the police station to get help for a hawk stuck in a net. Lieutenant Thomas Bryant called for animal control as he went to help. When he arrived, Lt. Bryant saw a hawk and a falcon trapped in batting cage netting. After exposing the net opening, the falcon flew right out. But, the hawk grew more trapped. Protecting himself with gloves, Lt. Bryant knew his only option was to free the hawk with using his hands. With help from animal control and a long stick, Lt. Bryan freed the hawk from the net. After a brief rest, the hawk flew safely back into the sky without a single injury.
