Target Thieves Thwarted Just Before Christmas

MARLBOROUGH- Two thieves nearly made away with over $800 worth of merchandise from Target just before Christmas, but quick actions from both loss prevention at the store and Marlborough Police Department left them empty handed and behind bars.

Shortly before 10PM on Monday evening, 30 year old Valerie Aris Vasquez-Velez of Hudson attempted to steal $823.09 worth of merchandise from the Target on Donald Lynch Blvd. After being approached by loss prevention, Vasquez-Velez took off leaving the items behind, striking a customer's cart with her car as she began to flee. While the customer was not injured, police quickly caught up with Vasquez-Velez who had an active warrant for her arrest. Her passenger, Natasha Dockery of Leominster, was also a fugitive from justice in an out of state incident. Both are now facing charges of Larceny under $1200 with additional charges for both Dockery & Vasquez-Velez.
