Early Voting Underway in Marlborough

MARLBOROUGH- With the presidential primary election less than a week away, voting in Massachusetts has already begun. Marlborough residents can cast early ballots starting the 24th up until the 28th. Between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., residents can vote at Marlborough City Hall.

Early voting started back in 2016, but this is the first time Massachusetts is allowing it in a primary election. Marlborough city clerk, Steven Kerrigan, said since its introduction in 2016, voters have liked the opportunity to vote early. Early voting helps increase voter turnout. "You can pick your day and you can pick the time you want to come out and vote and it makes it a little bit more convenient", said Kerrigan.

For those waiting until next week, Massachusetts residents will vote on March 3rd, also known as 'Super Tuesday'.
