Last week at the Special Olympics headquarters a group of people jumped into a pool of freezing water as part of one of the State's largest fundraisers. The purpose was to raise funds for Special Olympics Massachusetts.
MARLBOROUGH- Dangerous high winds on Monday caused several power outages throughout Massachusetts, with gusts strong enough to force down large trees and power lines. As police, fire and city workers battled to keep up with reports, units responded to 61 Walker Street in Marlborough where a tree collapsed onto a family home. HUDSON- The sound of the getaway car helped police piece together who was responsible for Wednesday's armed robbery at a Hudson liquor store. Witnesses at Chubby's Liquors say around 7:30pm Wednesday evening, a masked man pointed a gun at the employee behind the register and demanded cash before taking off in a tan car with a loud exhaust. After reviewing surveillance video from the store, Hudson Police were able to identify 37-year-old Jesse L. Torci as the suspect. Officers
A group of women from Southborough is working together to make collective monetary contributions to local charities. The group originally started in Michigan and has expanded throughout the country, and to some countries overseas.
