

FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL
A perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon is outside, eating tons of food, and having fun with the community. Last weekend Marlborough hosted a food truck festival on Main Street. The smells at the festival were highly enticing! There were also local vendors there including Rocco's donuts, a fudge company, a great local soap company...and the MEDC also made an appearance. There were a number of great food trucks there including Sabor La Tino, Kona Ice, and The DogFather. So

Have you ever been to the APEX Center? If you have not... you need to! Apex Center loves giving back to the community of Marlborough and putting smiles on faces. They also enjoy creating a fun float for the Labor Day Parade. Being creative and crafty is a great way to enjoy life. Over the weekend I had the opportunity to check out the Scrapbooking Expo at the Best Western Hotel, in Marlborough. The place was packed with excited people shopping for new supplies and entering to win prizes. Attendees also had the opportunity to take part in scrapbooking classes to learn new skills for their hobby. I enjoyed speaking to some of the scrapbookers to learn why they love this decorative hobby. Watch belo


Sunovion Gives Back with "Hands On!" program
Local pharmaceutical company, Sunovion holds an annual community service program known as, "Hands On!" Hands on was created in 2012. It is a day where Sunovion employees go out and volunteer for different projects around their communities. The United Way of Tri-County here in Marlborough assists with finding projects. Labor Day Weekend Greek Festival
This past Labor Day Weekend, the Greek Festival was held at Saints Anargyroi Church. The festival went on for three days filled with different activities, food, music and dancing. This festival was one of the biggest turn outs they have ever had. By Monday afternoon, they were sold out on a lot of food items! Assabet Valley Receives $281,000 Grant
MARLBOROUGH- Assabet Valley Regional Technical School recently received a new ingredient in helping to prepare students in the Culinary Arts Program: the school was recently awarded $281,000 as the recipient of the Skills Capital Grant. The Skills Capital Grant, awarded by the Baker-Polito Administration that can range from $50-500,000, aim to help high schools & colleges to invest in the most updated equipment in order to efficiently aid students in training for their chosen
