Avoiding Another Algae Bloom in Marlborough

With the weather getting warmer, the risk of algae blooms are getting stronger. Last summer, high cyanobacteria algae levels closed Memorial Beach for weeks. Exposure to the algae can cause skin and eye irritation, nausea or flu like symptoms, as well as other potentially serious problems in humans and pets.

Marlborough’s public health director tells us how to avoid another repeat.
