HUDSON- The sound of the getaway car helped police piece together who was responsible for Wednesday's armed robbery at a Hudson liquor store.
Witnesses at Chubby's Liquors say around 7:30pm Wednesday evening, a masked man pointed a gun at the employee behind the register and demanded cash before taking off in a tan car with a loud exhaust. After reviewing surveillance video from the store, Hudson Police were able to identify 37-year-old Jesse L. Torci as the suspect. Officers went to Torci's Cottage Street home, where neighbors confirmed that he owns a similar car as they one described with a loud exhaust.
Torci's car was later found on the side of the road by a State Trooper, with a mask and pellet gun inside. He was charged with masked armed robbery, and is due back in court on Tuesday.
