Marlborough Woman Threatens Accident Witnesses, Resists Arrest

MARLBOROUGH-A witness says 22-year-old Rebecca Pruitt of Marlborough waved a gun as she pulled out of the Lakeside Avenue Shell Gas Station parking lot after being involved in a minor accident just after 4pm on Monday afternoon.

According to witness statement, after exchanging information with the other driver Pruitt allegedly pointed a black firearm at the group as she pulled out of the parking lot. Officers were able to locate Pruitt within the hour based on information from the scene of the crash, and while they were not able to locate the firearm Pruitt began resisting arrest and during the booking process reportedly struck an officer, spat, and threatened the officer and their family. Pruitt is now facing a total of 7 different charges including assault with a dangerous weapon, threatening to commit a crime, assault and battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest.
