The City of Marlborough welcomed Congresswoman Lori Trahan alongside Mayor J. Christian Dumais, State Representative Danielle Gregoire, and Assistant Commissioner of Utilities Chris LaFreniere to highlight major upgrades to the city’s water and sewer infrastructure. Thanks to more than $4.2 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding, Marlborough has completed three critical projects: • Upgrades to SCADA monitoring systems at the Easterly and Westerly Wastewater Treatment Plants • Reconstruction of pump stations on Cullen Drive and Broad Meadow Street • Replacement of over 12,000 feet of water main along Boston Post Road East (Route 20) These improvements strengthen the reliability, safety, and cybersecurity of the city’s water systems—supporting residents, businesses, and future growth. Speakers emphasized the importance of strong partnerships between federal, state, and local government in delivering meaningful infrastructure investments that often go unseen but are essential to everyday life. 📍 Learn more about how Marlborough is investing in its future through critical infrastructure improvements. #MarlboroughMA #Infrastructure #ARPA #WaterSystems #PublicWorks #CommunityInvestment
