Marlborough had an Old Time Radio revival today! When WMCT-TV Executive Director Ryan Malyar approached the Senior Center Of Marlborough with a collaborative idea to present an afternoon of LIVE Radio Drama they were enthusiastic in their support! The six performers recreated classic scripts including Easy Aces, LUX Radio’s The Wizard of Oz, retro commercials for Ovaltine with Little Orphan Annie, and an Adam & Eve sketch that originally featured Mae West. The presentation wove in historic details about the original radio plays and included live Foley (sound effects) that utilized everything from squeaky balloons to slide whistles. The WMCT team was there to support and assist. Thank you to all who participated and attended!
