On July 24, 2025 the Marlborough Country Club Women’s Golf Association held their annual charity invitational golf tournament in support of breast cancer and prostate cancer research. After raising a total of $200,000 in funds over the past few years, organizers Joan Chambers and Heather Kassabian took some time out of their busy day to have a chat with WMCT.
In this interview, Joan and Heather reflect on accomplishments they’ve made during their time with the Women’s Association, explain new aspects and fun challenges of the tournament, and remember friends and family who have lost their fight with breast cancer. This event, which now partners with local nonprofit organization Pawsitively 4 Pink, focuses on bringing a community together and raising money for a great cause.
