Welcome to The Book Drop - Your July Update from the Marlborough Public Library!
Join Matt from the Marlborough Public Library as he walks you through everything happening this July - from exciting summer programs, creative workshops, live performances, book clubs for all ages, and a special look at this year's Summer Reading theme. Whether you're interested in gardening, crafts, music, or finding your next great read, there's something for everyone. Let's get into it!

Library Hours:
The Marlborough Public Library is located at 35 West Main Street, and open:
- Monday - Thursday: 9 AM - 8 PM
- Friday & Saturday: 9 AM - 5 PM
- Closed on Sundays for the summer
Holiday Closures:
- Thursday, July 3 - Saturday, July 5 (Independence Day)

Donation Days:
The Friends of the Library will be accepting donations on:
- Saturday, July 18
Regular donation days (the first Wednesday and third Saturday of each month) resume in August.

- Professor Bugman's Arthropod Petting Zoo: Thursday, July 9 @ 3 PM
Meet fascinating insects and arthropods while learning about the tiny creatures living all around us.
- Fused Glass Workshop: Pendants & Magnets: Saturday, July 11 @ 12 PM
Create your own beautiful dichroic fused glass pendant or magnet with artist Dini Pachik Giuliano.
- Flamenco Performance with Flamenco Boston: Tuesday, July 14 @ 6:30 PM
Flamenco Boston returns to the library for an evening of music, dance, and culture.
- Beekeeping Presentation: Saturday, July 18 @ 10:30 AM
Learn about the history, ecology, and practice of beekeeping from local experts.
- Music at the Blissful Concert: Wednesday, July 22 @ 11 AM
Award-winning children's musician Music at the Blissful brings an energetic, family-friendly performance to the library.

Summer Reading Spotlight:
This year's Summer Reading theme is "Plant a Seed, Read!" Matt explores the idea behind the theme, explains what plant hardiness zones are, and discusses how Marlborough's growing zone has changed over time.
Plus, hear from Jenny, Head of Children's Services, as she shares what she's looking forward to reading this summer and talks about future Summer Reading themes. We also hear from Jessica in Teen Services about this year's Summer Reading prizes, including gift cards, raffle prizes, and how to participate using Beanstack.
