Marlborough Police Searching Suspects After Violent Break-In


MARLBOROUGH- Police were still searching for answers Thursday afternoon after a violent break-in shook the community, leaving a man tied up in his bathroom.

Police responded to 83 Washington Street shortly after 10am on Wednesday after a homeowner reported three masked men broke into his home. The victim says the thieves hit him in the head with a gun before tying him up as they stole $1,800 worth of property including a cell phone, earrings, and several watches.

The home, located on the same street as the Immaculate Conception School, was searched by Marlborough Police Sergeant McKenzie and his canine partner, Kaiser. While the homeowner was treated in an ambulance, he is expected to make a full recovery.

As of Thursday afternoon, no further information has become available however Marlborough Police are currently reviewing nearby surveillance footage and are asking anyone with additional information to contact them at (508) 485-1212.
