$2 Million Massworks Grant for French Hill

Sharing the news with residents on its Facebook page, the City of Marlborough announced a $2 million improvement to the French Hill neighborhood. The Massworks Infrastructure Program from the Baker-Polito administration aims to launch redevelopment opportunities within communities. The funding supports the long-term Lincoln Street Revitalization Project.

The reconstruction will include on-street public parking, roadway improvements, traffic signal upgrades and underground utility enhancements. The improvement area spans 0.6 miles, from Broad Street to the Assabet River Rail Trail. The city hopes this will bring business back to the area. Marlborough received the same grant to complete the Apex project back in 2017.
