Marlborough Man Faces Second Round of Serious Charges

MARLBOROUGH- On February 7, authorities arrested Philip Raymond at his home on Chase Road. Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announced the 63-year-old faces serious charges. These charges include 10 charges of posing a nude child, one charge of aggravated rape of a child with force, aggravated indecent assault and battery on a person under 14 and one charge of posing a child in a sexual act.

These new charges follow an investigation into Raymond that started in March of last year. He was arrested after authorities obtained evidence off his electronic devices containing images of children in various states of nudity. The 11 female victims range in age from four to twelve years old. In this case, Raymond was indicted by a Middlesex County Grand Jury on three counts of rape of a child, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14 and possession of child pornography. The next court date for this case will be held on February 20.

Following his most recent arrest, Raymond was arraigned at Marlborough District Court and held on a $100,000 cash bail. He appears back in court for this case on March 6.
