Marlborough Man Facing 10 Charges After Leading Police On Chase


MARLBOROUGH-A Marlborough man is facing a total of 10 different charges this week after refusing to stop for police during a traffic stop on Monday afternoon.

According to police, shortly after 2:30pm on Monday 22-year-old Santiago Rodriguez was found driving unregistered & uninsured behind the wheel of a black Honda Civic with plates registered to a red Subaru . Yet when police attempted to pull him over, Rodriguez lead them on a high-speed for nearly 10 minutes before he came to a stop at the Shell Gas Station on Lincoln Street. That's when Rodriguez got out of his car and began yelling at the officers, aggravated that he had been followed. As police attempted to place him under arrest for multiple driving violations, he began to get violent and attack the officers. After a brief struggle Rodriguez was taken into custody with a list of charges that now includes resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer, and a long list of motor vehicle violations.
