City of Marlborough Dedication of Gold Star Families Plaza & City Squares, September 26, 2025

The City of Marlborough came together for a moving and historic occasion, the dedication of the Gold Star Families Plaza and the unveiling of eight newly named city squares honoring local heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Mayor Christian Dumais, Veterans Agent Mike Hennessy, city officials, veterans organizations, and the Marlborough Historical Society joined Gold Star families and community members in this solemn tribute. Each square now bears the name of a Marlborough service member whose legacy of courage and sacrifice will forever be remembered. This ceremony stands as a reminder that freedom comes at great cost, and that the sacrifices of our veterans and their families will never be forgotten.
